LEWISTON – Buddie G. Rackliff, 63, of Lewiston, passed away early Friday, June 1, at his home.

He was born on April 7, 1944, in New Sharon, a son of Leon Rackliff and Bertha Cox. On July 10, 1966, he was married to Polly Boyce in Kingfield. He retired from Central Maine Medical Center in April 2006 to go on to enjoy gardening, fishing and camping.

His greatest joy in life was spending time with his family and sharing stories from his childhood with his precious grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of nearly 41 years, Polly Rackliff of Lewiston; a daughter, Sherry Pomerleau, and her husband, Keith, of Lewiston; a son, Jeff Rackliff, and companion, Kathy Matthews, of Stratton; four grandchildren, Ashley Rackliff, Reid, Ryan and Paige Pomerleau; seven brothers; one sister; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by his mother, Bertha Cox; and his father and step-mother, Leon and Ida Rackliff; and two sisters, Beverly Trafton and Nancy Knight.
