LEWISTON – Florence R. Dupere, 87, a longtime resident of 199 Andrew Dr., Auburn, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 31, at Marshwood Nursing Home. She was surrounded by her family and she will be sadly missed.

She was born in Lewiston on June 27, 1919, the daughter of Frank and Regina (Boudreau) Nadeau. She was educated at St. Peter’s School.

She was married for 64 years to Andrew L. Dupere whom she married on Sept. 4, 1939, and who died on Nov. 5, 2003.

She worked at Koss Shoe and Dorie Shoe in Lewiston until her retirement in 1981.

She was a longtime member of St. Philip’s Church and was a member of the First Auburn Senior Citizen Community Center.

Her passion was bowling and she was a member of the Auburn Lanes Bowling League for 25 years.

She is survived by her two sons and their wives, Lucien and Gigi Dupere of Lewiston and Normand and Pat Dupere of Auburn; two grandchildren Lisa Bisson, and her husband, Ron and Lorraine Bowen, and her husband, Don, all of Lewiston; four great-grandchildren, Noah and Caleb Bisson, Jessica and Morgan Bowen; and her sister, Priscilla Fournier of Lewiston.

She was predeceased by her husband; her son, Gil Dupere Aug. 8, 2004; her grandchildren, Cathy Dupere April 8, 2001 and Tammy Dupere April 21, 2004; her seven sisters; and two brothers.
