LEWISTON – Richard L. Castonguay, 64, a resident of Campground Road in Livermore Falls, died Thursday, May 31, at Central Maine Medical Center surrounded by his family.

He was born on July 6, 1942, in Livermore, the son of Alfred and Odelie (Brochu) Castonguay and attended Livermore Falls High School. On Aug. 17, 1968, he married Bonnie Labbe at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay.

He owned a salvage business and also worked in the woods. He was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and antique cars.

He is survived by his wife of Livermore Falls; his mother of Livermore Falls; a daughter, Angela Frey, and her husband, David, of Livermore; two sons, Pierre Castonguay, and his wife, Julie, of Livermore Falls and Alfred Castonguay, and his wife, Heather, of Livermore Falls; five grandchildren, Brett and Brandon Frey, Nathan and Nora Castonguay and Harmony Castonguay; two brothers, Gerard Castonguay, and his wife, Sheila, of Livermore Falls and Jean Castonguay, and his wife, Sue, of Livermore Falls; four sisters, Noella DeSanto of Tennessee, Alice Legere of Tennessee, Simone Blouin of Greene and Marie Simoneau of Greenville.

He was predeceased by his father; and two brothers, David and Robert Castonguay.
