FARMINGTON – Sandra Ann (Weymouth) Knight, “Sandy,” 60, of Farmington, died Wednesday, May 30, at Franklin Memorial Hospital after a brief illness.

She was born March 24, 1947, in Bangor, the daughter of Charles and Barbara L. (Edgerly) Weymouth. She was a 1965 graduate of Old Town High School and on Jan. 17, 1976 married Richard “Dick” Knight in Farmington.

Over the years, she had been employed by C.N. Brown, Knights Variety, Reny’s Dept. Store, Aramark and Harris Real Estate and Auction Service.

She was a member and first vice president of Emblem Club 460 of Farmington and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, the Farmington Firemen’s Auxiliary and the Red Barronettes, Red Hat Society. She enjoyed working on the Elks and Emblem Club shows, volunteering at the Farmington Emblem and Fire Department fair booths at the Franklin County Agricultural Fair and working at the auctions for Harris Auction Service.

Sandy, a devoted wife and mother, loved socializing and spending quality time with her family and friends. She was an animal lover, enjoyed four-wheeling, dancing, playing cards, gardening, tending to her exterior home decorating and landscaping, crocheting, reading, attending the theater, collecting miniature clocks and always adding to Dick’s “Honey-Do List.”

She is survived by her husband, Richard “Dick” Knight of Farmington; their son, Gary Anthony Knight, and his wife, Cindy Jane Knight, of Augusta and their two children, Ayden and Lucas; her mother, Barbara Weymouth of Milford; two brothers, Charles Weymouth, and his wife, Ruth, of Milford and Richard Weymouth, and his wife, Carol, of California; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her baby daughter, Julie; and her father.
