New Gloucester voters may be unfamiliar with one of the candidates running for the board of selectmen: Gina Sawin. A snapshot of her background reveals she has been a resident for eight years, living in a farmhouse that has been in her family for two decades.

As a parishioner of New Gloucester’s First Congregational Church, Sawin ran the church’s summer camp. She also serves as a member of the improvement team for the Memorial School.

Concerned about preserving New Gloucester’s character, she would advocate for responsible development that would benefit all citizens. Promoting fair and open town planning is high on her list of priorities.

At this critical juncture when school district consolidation is poised for reorganization, Gina Sawin would work with the School Board and legislators to ensure the most advantageous plans for New Gloucester schools were formulated.

She is an excellent choice for selectman.
