BRUNSWICK – Albert St. Pierre, 75, of Jay, passed away peacefully on Saturday, June 2, at the Midcoast Hospital.
He was born Jan. 30, 1932, in Livermore, a son of Jules and Antonia (Goulet) St. Pierre.
He received his education in Livermore Falls schools and then went on to serve for two years with the U.S. Army.
On May 7, 1960, he married Constance Castonguay at St. Rose of Lima in Jay.
He worked for Ferlands Dairy in Mexico for 11 years, then went to work for himself operating an egg-laying chicken farm and a tire business from 1978 until the time of his retirement in 1996.
He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Constance of Jay; eight daughters, Lena Schmitz and her husband, Scott, of Mechanic Falls, Diane Landry and her husband, John, of Woodstock, Ga., Corrine Hutchinson and her husband, Corey, of Weld, Ida Barker and her husband, Steve, of Jay, Mariette Hanlon and her husband, Kevin, of Lisbon, Jeanette St. Pierre of Atlanta, Ga., Adele St. Pierre of Quebec and her companion, Josh Anchors, and Melinda McGrane and her husband, Ethan, of Jay; three sons, Antione St. Pierre of Jay and his companion, Darci Gibbs, Thomas St. Pierre and his wife, Karen, of Jay and Jean St. Pierre and his wife, Melissa, of Brunswick; 17 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Alfred St. Pierre and his wife, Camille, of Naples, Fla., Joe St. Pierre and his wife, Annette, of Rumford and Roland St. Pierre and his wife, Linda, of Livermore; two sisters, Irene Castonguay of Livermore, and Juliette Maurais and her husband, Amedie of Jay.
He was predeceased by his parents; two brothers, Romeo and Rene St. Pierre; and a sister, Alice Castonguay.
