Carrie R. Plourde graduated on May 5 from the Loeb-Sullivan School of International Business and Logistics with a master’s of science degree in global supply chain management. She received her bachelor’s of science degree in marine transportation operations with a minor in ocean studies from Maine Maritime Academy in May 2006.

While at Maine Maritime Academy, Plourde was certified as a shipboard firefighter, a medical person in charge, and received advanced anti-terrorism training.

During her freshman and junior years, she traveled on the academy’s training vessel, State of Maine, visiting Barcelona, Spain; Antwerp, Belgium; Koeb, Ireland; and Gdynia, Poland.

At the end of her sophomore year, Plourde did her cadetship with Maersk Lines Limited based out of Norfolk, Va., and traveled to Gibraltar, Spain; Mumbai, India; Salalah Oman; and Dubai, UAE.

Plourde is a 2002 graduate of Poland Regional High School. She is the daughter of Roland and Carol Plourde of Poland and the granddaughter of Gaston and Irene Plourde of Auburn and Eugene Stevens of Lewiston.
