LEEDS – Carl Berg, 72, a resident of Leeds, died suddenly Sunday, June 3, at his home after a brief illness.
He was born in Portland on Jan. 24, 1935, the son of Paul and Nora (Jensen) Berg and was educated in the local schools. He served in the U.S. Air Force, and worked as an auto body repairman and metal fabrication.
He enjoyed cooking, old country music, visiting the ocean and spending time with extended family and friends.
He is survived by two sons, Carl Berg Jr. and Paul Berg, both of Westbrook; a brother, Walter P. Berg of Fruitland, Fla.; two nephews, Mark Berg of Portland and Michael Berg, of Old Orchard Beach; a niece, Marion Berg of Arizona; his caretaker, Pamela Huntington, and her husband, Robert, of Greene; her son, Herbert Willey of Auburn; her daughters, Alicia London, and her husband, Tom, of Auburn and Sophia Willey, and her fiancé, Brodan Wilcox, of Auburn.
He was predeceased by a brother, Ollie Berg in 1968.
