FARMINGTON – The United Way of the Tri-Valley Area has announced that 12 new community members have joined the board of directors in 2006 and 2007.
The new members are Dick Jackson of Verso Paper; Rick Dorey, former Verso employee; Janis Walker, Franklin Community Health Network; Tom Taylor, former SAD 9 principal; Joni Blanchard, Sugarloaf Mountain; Lorna Nichols, Franklin County Chamber of Commerce; Pam McAllister, community volunteer; Tracy Harty, Franklin Community Health Network; Helen Targett, SAD 58; Andrew Sturtevant, Franklin Savings Bank; Margaret Gould Wescott, University of Maine at Farmington; and Bob Yorks, Maine Retirement Annuities.
Community members who have left the board during the last board cycle include Rob Lively, University of Maine at Farmington, who left his position as board president after six years of service; Kay Webb, United Methodist Economic Ministry; Joe Tutlis, University of Maine at Farmington; Greg Swensen and Susan Wiles, SAD 36.
The new officers for 2007 are as follows: President, Bobby Brow, Stanley Museum; vice president, Ellen Curtiss, Camden National Bank; secretary, Pam McAllister; and treasurer, Gordon Flint, Androscoggin Bank.
