CHESTERVILLE – Joan Ziolkowski, 72, died May 24, at her home in Chesterville.

She was born in Detroit, Mich., on Aug. 8, 1934. She worked as a self-employed accountant for more than 20 years in her home in Chesterville.

She enjoyed gardening, walking the local wooded trails with her dogs and caring for her other various pets.

She is survived by two sons, Steven Ziolkowski of Washington State and Jon Ziolkowski of Hawaii; and two grandchildren of Oregon.

She was predeceased by her son, Mark Ziolkowski; and a granddaughter.
