KUTZTOWN, Pa. – Arthur L. Fournier, 92, a former resident of Livermore Falls and Jay, died Tuesday, June 5, at Kutztown Manor Nursing Home, where he had been a resident since March 2006.
He was born Jan. 24, 1915, in Chisholm, a son of Francois X. and Celestine (Roy) Fournier and was educated in the Jay school system. He was a plumber and then state plumbing and heating inspector along the coast of Maine.
He was married 52 years to Margaret Brochu Fournier, who passed away Aug. 7, 1993. He was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church, Jay. He loved music and played the saxophone in a band during his younger years.
He is survived by one son, Francois A. Fournier, and his wife, Roberta, of Fleetwood, Pa.; four grandchildren, Francois Lee Fournier of Reading, Pa., Michele Hale, and her husband, Michael, of Morrisville, Pa., Melinda Jones, and her husband, Peter, of Fallsington, Pa., and Kimberly Neidlinger, and her husband, Michael, of Newville, Pa.; and five great-grandchildren, Zachary, Ashlyn, Michael, Ryan and Dylan.
He was predeceased by his brothers and sisters.
