LEWISTON – Shaw’s Supermarkets has announced that Peter Ouellette of Lewiston High School has been selected as a recipient of a Shaw’s scholarship.

Ouellette will attend the University of Maine in Orono. He has participated in Student Council, Key Club, National Honor Society, baseball, soccer and indoor track at Lewiston High School.

Ouellette is pursuing a major in business administration with a concentration in accounting. He is the son of Rene and Marie Ouellette of Lewiston. Shaw’s/Star Supermarkets Inc. has been offering scholarships to its outstanding students for more than 40 years. Recipients demonstrate high scholastic achievements, high standards of job performance and a potential to succeed in college.
