Town meeting time will bring out many people to vote on budgets that need to be looked at carefully. I hope we don’t forget the revaluation, and the raising of our taxes last year. We were told to lower taxes, we had to control spending. Are we going to do that at the town meeting this year?
Not long ago the administrators were given a hefty raise. I wonder if it was necessary at that time.
A line item budget is needed and should be demanded so the taxpayers know what they are voting on. Why are we voting on a large lump sum? What is in the middle? Articles should be explained more fully for us to understand.
On consolidation, I see that Jay may pay more. If we are not saving money, why are we consolidating?
Does this raise our taxes more than some can afford?
