AUBURN – Flora B. Soper, 77, formerly of Auburn, passed away after a long illness at the Androscoggin Hospice House on Friday, June 8, with her loving family by her side. Her sufferings are over as the angels carry her to God.

Flora was born in Leeds on Nov. 10, 1929, the daughter of Edmond and Verdie Wing.

She married Harold Soper on April 20, 1956.

She enjoyed cooking, playing her guitar for her family and playing bingo.

She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband of 51 years; her three loving daughters, Clarissa and Arthur Collins, Sue and Steven Bowden, and Linda and Robert Levesque; five sons, Normand Child, Harold Soper Jr., Donald Soper, Bruce Soper and fiancée, Liz LeBlanc, and Robert and Heather Soper; 32 grandchildren; many great- and great-great-grandchildren; one sister, Rachel Marquies; two brothers, David and Diane Wing, and Loring and Beverly Wing; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins; and a very special aunt, Mable Curtis.

She was predeceased by her parents; and one son, Irving Child.
