Fear workshop
Mexico – Maine Centers for Women and Community will offer a free Moving Through Fear workshop from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, June 12, at the University College at Rumford/Mexico, 13 Brown St. Participants will learn to develop skills to help let go of fears that keep them stuck. Absentee ballots
Rumford – Absentee ballots for elective positions, the state, and the town’s municipal budget are available at the town’s clerk office. Voters who choose to vote by absentee must return the ballots to the clerk by Tuesday, June 12.
Meeting canceled
Peru – The Historical Society will not meet Tuesday, June 12, due to the polls being open.
Network meeting
Rumford – The next Community Networking Meeting sponsored by the River Valley Healthy Communities Coalition will be at noon Tuesday, June 12. Attendees should bring a lunch. The meeting will be held at the Rumford Public Library downstairs in the community room.
Kellie Cameron, public health nurse, Maine Center for Disease Control and Prevention, will speak about issues in the communities.
Other agenda items include community updates from the Healthy Communities Coalition and other organizations.
