MADISON – Dorothy (Beale) Laslow, 92, died Sunday, June 10, at Maplecrest Rehabilitation & Living Center.
She was born on Feb. 12, 1915, in Madison, the daughter of Charles O. and Mary (Judkins) Beale. She graduated from Portland High School, Class of 1932, and attended Nasson College in Springvale.
She married Charles D. Worster June 26, 1938; he passed away Jan. 28, 1965. She married John F. Laslow, October 1967, he passed away Oct. 3, 1993.
She was active in many organizations. She was a member of the Madison Congregational Church and served on various committees, she was a member and past president of Women’s Association, a 50-year member and past noble grand of the Sterling Rebekah Lodge, and charter member and past president of the Madison Women’s Club.
She worked for many years as a bookkeeper at the former Old Point Garage and had also worked for LaVerdiere’s Drug Store in Madison.
She is survived by her two sons, Charles B. Worster, and his wife, Moneda “Bunny,” of Madison and Linwood E. Worster, and his wife, Roxanne, of Jay; four grandchildren, Charles L. Worster, and his wife, Cathi, Timothy P. Worster, and his wife, Heather and their son, Trent, Lisa (Worster) Jacques and her children, Casey, Courtney and Shayne and Linwood E. Worster II; several nieces and nephews; and a cousin.
She was predeceased by a brother, Donald Beale; a sister, Arlene Soule; and special friend, Craig J. Welch.
