JAY – A Jay man was injured Sunday after his car rear-ended another one on Main Street near the Jay Car Wash, police Chief Larry White Sr. said.

Roger Moulton, 24, complained of head and knee injuries after his 1989 Oldsmobile struck the back of a 1999 BMW driven by Monique DiPompo, 40, of Hartford, White said.

The owner of the BMW, who was not in it, is Shanda Nile of Jay, he said.

DiPompo complained of pain but refused medical attention, the chief said.

Moulton was taken by a NorthStar Emergency Medical Services ambulance to Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington.

Both vehicles received extensive damage, White said.

Jay firefighters treated Moulton until medics could arrive and they also assisted with traffic control and cleaning debris, he said.
