COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa – Mary Theresa Rita (Veilleux) Dee of Council Bluffs, Iowa, passed away June 9, with her loving family by her side after a long and courageous battle with cancer.

She was born in Lewiston, Aug. 12, 1941.

Survivors include her husband, James W. Dee Sr., retired Omaha Fire Department; daughters and sons-in-law, Peggy and Bryon Meador of Fort Calhoun, Neb., Sandra and Rick Frost, Council Bluffs, Iowa, Jennifer and Scott Slachetka; sons, James Dee Jr. and Joseph Dee; sister and brother-in-law, Diane and Willie Dulac of Lewiston; aunts, Mrs. Henry Dorothy Violette, Mrs. Francis (Gabrielle) Violette; grandchildren, Amy and Jeremy Bryan, Zack Meador, Stephanie Meador, Carly, Billie, and Allison Frost, Jared Dee, baby Evan Slachetka, Missy Johnson; great-grandson, Tyler Frary; and her many close friends at Design Plastics.

She was predeceased by an infant daughter, Jamie Marie; and her parents, Joseph Rosaire and Alice (Dionne) Veilleux.
