FARMINGTON – Gladys L. Oliver, 77, of West Farmington, died late Wednesday, June 13, at Franklin Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Skowhegan, March 30, 1930, a daughter of Henry and Ida (Stockman) Bishop and received her education in Madison and Farmington schools.
On Oct. 17, 1946, she married Charles Albert Oliver Sr. She was employed as a practical nurse and worked at several local nursing homes.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Charles Sr. of Farmington; her children, Alberta Gordon, and her husband, Leroy, of Wilton, Marie Buckman of Jay, Bonnie Trask, and her husband, Michael, of Wilton, Arthur Oliver, and wife, Donna, of Jay, Charles Oliver Jr., and wife, Naomi, of Farmington, Burchard Oliver of Wilton, Elnora Rackliff, and husband, Raynold, of Wilton, Ernest Oliver of Skowhegan and Lisa Chase of Rumford; two foster brothers, Milton Rogers Jr. of Madison and Donald Hilton of Thompson; 35 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a son, Phillip in 1972.
