JAY – Word has been received from Tom Dubois, Sen. Mike Michaud’s personal assistant, that Michaud has donated a certificate to help the Western Maine Paper and Heritage Museum raise funds toward purchasing a home to house its collections.
The winner of the certificate will pick the person they want honored, the date and the event they want to celebrate. A flag will be flown over the capitol in that person’s honor and will then be given to the person.
The museum is selling tickets on a variety of items, including a large-screen TV, sand chair with umbrella, cooler with wheels, hair cut certificate, grocery certificate and other items.
Anyone interested in purchasing a ticket can contact Sherry Judd at 897-3117 after 6 p.m. or Claire Laverdiere at 897-3514. A limited amount of tickets are being sold and the winners will be drawn on Saturday, June 23, at the Otis Credit Union yard sale.
