LEWISTON – The Androscoggin Bank Colisee will be the backdrop for the second annual Festival FrancoFun Aug. 3-5. The celebration of Franco-American music, food, and culture in the communities of Lewiston and Auburn will feature daily concerts, a dance floor and concession areas serving early morning breakfast to late night hors d’oeuvres.

The Shipyard Lounge above the main concession area at the Colisee will serve as the cultural wing of the festival, where film and other materials will be presented.

Besides the “La Tournee du Bonheur,” with Jean-Guy Piche, the C’est Si Bon Band and The Moon Dawgs will return to perform with other musicians during the three-day event. Also, Le Bonhomme Carnaval, “the ambassador of Quebec,” will make an appearance at opening ceremonies.

For more information and updates on Festival FrancoFun, go to www.festivalfrancofun.com, or call 783-1585.

A meeting of festival volunteers will be held at 6 p.m. June 20 at the Colisee on Birch Street. Anyone interested in helping out is invited. People may also submit a request to volunteer on the Web site.
