LEWISTON – Rose Ella Rideout, 78, of Lewiston, passed away at Central Maine Medical Center on Tuesday, June 12, at a long illness.

She was born Jan. 3, 1929, in Belfast. Living with her father, Jerry Blair and her mother, Jennie Cook.

She is survived by her husband, Gerald Rideout. She had eight children, Linwood Edwards and his wife, Clair, of Berlin, N.H., Arlington Edwards and wife, Sheri, of Oxford, Steven Edwards of Rochester, N.H., Jeffrey Fisher and Amy Ouellette of Auburn, Richard and Jeannie Tremble of Maryland, Roger and Arlene Fontain of Manchester, N.H., and Bertrand and Jennie Ouellette of Lewiston, and was predeceased by Robin Ann Demons, of Mechanic Falls.

She had 19 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
