WRENTHAM, Mass. – Muriel Phyllis Ames Perkins, 79, died Monday, June 18.
She was born Oct. 23, 1927, in Auburn, a daughter of the late George Francis and Jeanette (May) Ames. She lived in the Oxford Hills area most of her life until moving to Wrentham, Mass., in 1998. She had worked for the former Andrews Nursing Home and Norway Nursing Home.
She was the wife of the late Ralph W. Perkins who died in 1998.
She is survived by her son, Michael, and his wife, Patricia, of Plainville, Mass.; her daughter, Pamela M. Perkins of South Paris; six grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers, Gordon F. Ames of Readfield, John C. Ames of South Paris and Raymond L. Ames of Old Saybrook, Conn.; sister, Barbara L. Manchester of Jamestown, R.I.; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by brothers, Frank and George Mulligan, Maynard Ames and George “Eddie” Ames; and sisters, Shirley Twitchell and Elizabeth Ames.
