BATH – Dianne F. Black, 75, of Vienna, died Thursday, June 14, at Winship Green Nursing Center.

She was born in Rumford on Nov. 23, 1931, a daughter of Earl and Diane (Cameron) Furgerson. She graduated from Rumford High School in 1949. On July 4, 1953, she married Harry C. Black Jr.

She was employed as a registered nurse at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Lewiston, Augusta Mental Health Institution, Maine Medical Center in Portland and the Kennebec Valley Medical Center in Augusta. She was employed on the state licensing team for hospital licensing and retired in 1995 after 45 years in nursing.

She was a member of the Vienna Grange Hall and North Vienna Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren, knitting, quilting and weaving.

She is survived by her husband, Harry C. Black Jr. of Woolwich; two sons, Earle Black, and his wife, Diane, of Brunswick and Michael Black, and his wife, Betty, of Anson; one daughter, Lisa J. Willoughby of Woolwich; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

She was predeceased by one daughter, Susan Black.
