God’s Hands

ANDOVER- We are God’s Hands Potluck Supper & Social, sponsored by People in Action, will take place Saturday, June 23, at 5 p.m. at the Town Hall.

All proceeds from the evening’s love offering will be given to help Ken and Bev Merrill, who will be leaving soon to minister to orphans in a Rafiki village in Rwanda, Africa.

People in Action is a non-denominational group dedicated to help those who go out in the world to be God’s hands. For more information about this supper or to join the People in Action group please call Linda at 364-7968.

Stephens lunch

RUMFORD – Members of the Stephens High School Class of 1949 will meet for their regular class luncheon at the Route 2 Diner in Rumford Center on Wednesday, June 27 at 1 p.m.

Strawberry Festival

DIXFIELD- The Congregational Church on High Street will hold the annual Strawberry Festival on Saturday, June 30, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Breakfast will be served from 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. for $4, choice of pancakes and sausage or Belgium waffles and fresh strawberries. Also juice and coffee served with both.

Lunch will be served at 11 a.m., choice of lobster roll and chips or chicken roll and chips for $6, which includes strawberry shortcake with both.

Strawberry shortcake will be available all day, also, raffles, strawberries and lots of homemade baked goods. .

Trash cleanup

INDUSTRY- The town of Industry will have Trash Clean Up from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Town Hall June 30 and July 1.

Some fees will apply:

Recyclable electronics $5, anything containing freon $10 fee; tires up to 15 in. w/o rim are $3; miscellanous debris and yard materials is $15.
