The Connecticut Defenders battled back to defeat the Portland Sea Dogs, 6-5, as the Defenders rallied late to erase an early 5-0 Portland lead.

Catcher Dusty Brown and second baseman Cory Keylor had two-run singles in the fifth inning, with Jeff Natale adding a sacrifice fly to give Michael Bowden a five-run cushion. But Connecticut scored twice in the sixth inning and four more in the seventh, capped by Carlos Sosa’s three-run home run.

Kyle Jackson took the loss for Portland, giving up four runs on three hits over 1.1 innings of work.
