AUGUSTA – Charlotte R. (Adams) Smith, 92, of Wilton, passed on peacefully, June 21, at the Glenridge Care Facility with her loving daughters, Ronda and Corliss at her side.

She was born Dec. 21, 1914, in Jay, the daughter of the late, Leslie C. and Cora Helena (Robbins) Adams.

On April 11, 1936, she married Hollis David Smith in Wilton, where they owned and operated Smitty’s Service Station and Restaurant for many years.

She loved fishing, going to camp in East Carey, working in her vegetable garden, cooking, sewing, and going to Thimble Club. She was always known for her great sense of humor.

She is survived by four children, Bayne Smith, and his wife, Carolyn, of Wilton, Corliss Morreale, and her husband, Joseph, of Lake Forest, Calif., Ronda Southworth, and her husband, Ken, of Augusta and Sonya Conant, and her husband, Coval, of Weld; two sisters, Phyllis Partridge of Wilton and Beverly McDaniel of Livermore; a brother, Edgar Adams, and his wife, Mary, of Hillman, Mich.; seven grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Hollis; and four brothers, Robert, Winton, Richard and Harland Adams.
