AUBURN – The wedding of Nicole J. Doucette and Michael N. Garant was held at 6 p.m. on March 23 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Auburn. Daniel Gagne, notary and uncle of the bridegroom, officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Garant is the daughter of Scott and Wanda Doucette of Lewiston. Mr. Garant is the son of Raymond and Joan Garant of Lewiston.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white gown with V-neckline with asymmetrical, tiered skirt, accented by Swarovsky crystal beading. She carried two dozen red roses.

Ashley Racine, cousin of the bride was maid of honor. Angela Gagne, cousin of the bridegroom, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Kylee Bard and April Caron, friends of the couple, and Melissa Gueverra, sister of the bridegroom. Aliyah Gagne, cousin of the bridegroom, was flower girl.

A cousin of the bridegroom, Bill Gagne, performed the duties of best man. Ushers were Glenn Gueverra, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, and Brian Martin and Larry Caron, friends of the couple.

A reception followed at the Hilton Garden Inn in Auburn, after which the couple went on a Caribbean cruise for seven days. They are residing in Lewiston.

The bride is a 2006 graduate of the University of Southern Maine with a bachelor’s degree in social and behavioral sciences. She is a substance abuse counselor at Tri-County Mental Health Services.

The bridegroom is a 1998 graduate of Lewiston High School and is employed at Wal-Mart Distribution Center.
