FARMINGTON – Beverly A. Adams (Nana), 62, died June 22, in Farmington surrounded by her loving family. She went to meet the Lord, God and her family in Heaven.
She was born April 6, 1945, in Gray, the daughter of John C. and Arline (Boston) Hammond. She received her education in Carthage, and graduated from Mexico High School in 1963.
On July 28, 1973, she married Langdon S. Adams. She worked many years as a certified nurse’s aide at the Dixfield Nursing Home. She moved to the Jay area and worked as a CNA, housekeeper and dietary aide at Franklin Memorial Hospital for the next 22 years, retiring due to ill health.
She loved what she did and met a lot of wonderful people through the years. She lived and worked hard for her three beautiful daughters and 10 wonderful grandchildren. She was a member of the Wilson Grange, joining at the age of 14 at Carthage, belonged to Excelsior Pomona (state and national), a member of Youth Degree Teams and also worked on the Pomona and State degree team.
She was a member of Carthage Union Church and choir, a Sunday school teacher, and participated in many variety shows and cantatas. She enjoyed all kinds of music and sports, especially the sports of her daughters, grandbabies, and nephews. She loved the world champion Red Sox and the Patriots.
She is survived by her three daughters, Stephanie Adams of Farmington, Collette Daggett, and her husband, Will Jr., of New Vineyard and Colleen Bate, and her husband, Christian, of New Vineyard; 10 grandchildren, Trevor, Miranda, Jocelyn, Dawson, Kasie, Jacelyn, Nathaniel, Katelyn, Karalyn and Logan; a sister, Sandra Averill, and her husband, David, of Farmington; a brother, Errol Hammond, and his wife, Laura, of East Dixfield; many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by a granddaughter, Jasmine Hudson; and a grandson, Colby Bate.
