AUBURN – Margaret Howes “Peggy” Decker of Turner, passed peacefully Sunday, June 24, at the Hospice House. She had an everlasting positive influence on her many friends and relatives. With her sons and daughter by her side most of this last month, Peggy courageously passed on to her next adventure. She was one week away from her 78th birthday.
She was born on July 6, 1929, in Jay. She attended schools there, graduating in the Class of 1947 from Jay High School. She did a year of schooling in Boston before marrying Nelson Decker (deceased since 1978). They had seven children.
She is survived by two of her brothers, Charles “Bill” Howes and Kenneth Howes; her daughter and her husband, Teri and Mike Latlippe; four sons and their wives, Mark and Kathy Decker, Lance and Ronnie Decker and Chris and Deb Decker, all of Turner and Derick and Cindy Decker of Rumford; 10 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by a brother, Reginald Howes; and two of her children, Lee and Candi Decker.
