AUGUSTA – Beatrice Cushman Felt, 87, of Winthrop, died Sunday, June 24, at MaineGeneral Medical Center.

She was born in Bryant Pond, June 12, 1920, the sixth child of George and Lena (Francis) Cushman. She graduated from Woodstock High School and attended the Maine Eye and Ear Infirmary Hospital School of Nursing.

In 1940, she married Linwood Felt of Bryant Pond and together they raised their four children. She was a member of Franklin Grange for many years. She loved her family very much and was known for her winning smile and sense of humor. She enjoyed playing the piano, cooking, knitting, crocheting and spending time with her family.

She is survived by two sons, Robert Felt, and his wife, Connie, of Augusta and Lindon Felt, and his wife, Melinda, of Dixfield; two daughters, Linda Ward, and her husband, Bill, of Steep Falls and Catherine Arey, and her husband, Weston, of Rockland; two sisters, Avis Coolidge of Oxford and Erma McGuire of Rumford; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, Linwood in 2005.
