WATERVILLE – Dorothy L. Weymouth, 85, of Waterville, went home to the Lord on Wednesday, June 27, at Oak Grove Living and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born in Waterville on June 23, 1922, the daughter of Norman A. and Susan (Smith) Weymouth. She attended Waterville schools and graduated from Waterville High School in 1940. She went on to graduate in 1942 from Becker Junior College in Worcester, Mass.

She was employed by Bates Manufacturing in Lewiston, until her retirement in 1986. Upon her retirement, she moved back to Waterville because of ill health.

She was a member of the Court Street Baptist Church of Auburn, being active in many of that church’s organizations. She was also a member of the Rebekahs of the Eastern Star and the Ida M. Whittemore Philathea Class. While living in Waterville, she was a member of the First Baptist Church. She taught Sunday school there for many years.

She is survived by her only sister, Katherine Marchetti Reeves of Zephyrhills, Fla.; nieces and nephews including, Angela Hawes of Florida, Ralph Marchetti III of Louisiana, Sarah Hann, Suzanne Baker, Linda Bolduc, Janet Bosse, all of Maine, Sandra Furlong of Vermont, and several others.

She was predeceased by her parents; and two brothers, Robert Weymouth and Harold P. Weymouth.

The family would like to thank the staff of Oak Grove Living and Rehabilitation Center for their loving care of Dorothy while she was a resident.
