LaCRESENTA, Calif. – Janice L. (Ruff) Cox died June 1, at her home in LaCresenta, Calif.

She was born in Rumford, Aug. 25, 1929, to Bruce and Iona Ruff. She attended Rumford schools and graduated from Stephens High School in 1947.

She married Harry (Bink) Cox in Rumford in 1950. The newlyweds went immediately to California, where they made their home and raised two sons.

Survivors include sons, Bruce and Gary, grandson, Matthew and granddaughter, Jennifer, all of California; brother, Keith Ruff of Winthrop; and sister, Mrs. Harold Buck of Topsham.

She was predeceased by her husband; and a brother, Wayne.

She loved Maine and returned here for many years to visit long-time friends and family. Dear old friends, Tom and Elaine Smith were with her at the time of her passing.
