AUBURN – Yvette A. Chasse, 78, of South Main Street, Auburn, died unexpectedly on Thursday, June 28, at her residence.
She was born in Lewiston on Aug. 4, 1928, the daughter of Narcisse and Rose (Lemay) Caron and had been a resident of this community all of her life.
She was employed as a foreman in the local shoe industry until her retirement in 1969, then became a homemaker.
She was a member of St. Philips Church. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.
She is survived by her husband, Normand W. Chasse, whom she married on Aug. 4, 1951, of Auburn; one son, Danny Chasse and his wife, Karen, of Anchorage, Alaska; two daughters, Linda Caron of Groveland, Fla., and Nancy Keith and her husband, Wade, of Auburn; six grandchildren, Jason and Dawn Simard, Jennifer and Suzanne Chasse, and Stacey and Danielle Keith; and six great-grandchildren.
She was predeceased by one daughter, Suzanne Chasse Seger; and by one brother.
