AUBURN – Paul H. Lafond, 83, of 132 Harvard St., Auburn, died at his home on Sunday, July 1.
He was born Aug. 25, 1923, in Lewiston, the son of Emil and Hazel (Provost) Lafond. He graduated from Lewiston High School, Class of 1941. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1943 to 1946. He worked for several local electrical companies before opening his own business, Paul Lafond Electrical.
On March 24, 1946, he married Elaine Parker of Auburn. He was a member of the United Baptist Church of Lewiston, where he served as a trustee. He was also past master of Rabboni Lodge and longtime chaplain. He was Mason of the year, 23rd Masonic District in 1998. He was a member of Rabboni & Ancient Brothers Lodge and the Square & Compass Club.
He is survived by his wife, Elaine; and two sons, John Lafond, and his wife, Donna Rochon, of Bellefonte, Pa., and Dennis of Auburn.
