Paula Cole, one many female singer/songwriters who gained exposure as a participant in the first Lilith Fair orchestrated by Sarah McLachlan to showcase female artists, will perform Saturday, July 7, in Freeport, as part of the L.L. Bean Summer Concert Series. In 1998, Cole won the Grammy for Best New Artist. The free, outdoor concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. in L.L. Bean’s Discovery Park. Bring a lawn chair.
