LEWISTON – Vina I. Jeffers, 87, passed away on July 3, surrounded by loving family at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center. She was a resident of Lewiston-Auburn area for more than 10 years.

She was born in New River, Tenn., on June 24, 1920, the daughter of Whitley and Etta Strunk.

She was a member of the Akron Baptist Temple in Akron, Ohio

She was a caregiver, loving mother and grandmother.

Left behind are three children and spouses, Glenn and Betty Jeffers, Virginia and Richard Ouellette and Terry and family; grandchildren, Tammy and Micheal McKenzie, Scott Thompson, Bambi Jolicoeur, Jonathan Brooks, Troy, Jeff, Theresa, Gail and Glenn, all of Akron, Ohio, and Michelle Thompson of Pheonix, Ariz.; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by mother and father; all siblings; and a great-grandson, Brett Alan Thompson.
