Auburn – Elizabeth A. “Betty” Rioux, 75, formerly of Lisbon Falls, passed away early Saturday morning, July 7, at Odd Fellows Home of Maine, where she had been a resident since 2000.

She was born in Lisbon Falls, April 11, 1932, a daughter of Dennis L. Rioux Sr. and Mary Fazekas. She was educated in Lisbon Falls schools, graduated from Lisbon High School and attended three years at the College of St. Rose Albany.

She lived in Hartford, Conn., for many years and worked during that time as an administrative assistant until her retirement from Combustion Engineering, in Windsor, Conn. After retiring, she moved back to Lisbon Falls to be with her parents. She was a member of Holy Trinity Parish, and among her favorite enjoyments were listening to music, especially classical, and spending time and visiting with her family and friends.

She leaves a brother, Dennis L. Rioux Jr. and his wife, Pauline E. Rioux, of Brunswick; two sisters, Dorothy Brown of San Augustine, Texas, and Shirley Huston of Auburn; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was predeceased by her father, Dennis Sr. in 1989; by her mother, Mary, in 2002; and by her brother, Richard, of Baltimore, Md., in 1990.
