Greg Oden picked up 10 fouls in his summer league debut on Friday night. At this pace he’ll be a perfect fit for the Blazers’ thuggish ways, on and off the court. Oh, and welcome to the NBA, Mr. Oden. It only gets tougher from here.

Duh!

Kevin Durant, in his summer league debut, missed 12 of 17 shots and said that “you can’t make every shot” when talking to the media afterward. There was no report that Durant couldn’t reach the basket because of his upper-body weakness.

A’s infielder Marco Scutaro, filling in for six-time Gold Glover Eric Chavez, made four errors on Friday night in Oakland. No word if he was distracted by fans yelling “Polo!” at him.
