LEWISTON – Funeral services for Perley J. Childs Jr. were held Friday at the Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home with the Rev. Dean Marston Sr. officiating. The eulogy was delivered by Assistant Pastor Dustin Winson. Words of remembrance were said by Sandra Pemberton, Conrad Childs, Marc Childs, Jesse Childs and Pam Alexander, all sons and daughters of Perley, and a music tribute was sung by the daughter Rose Scammon during the service. Pallbearers were Chris Childs, Zack Childs, Marc Childs, Cody Childs, Josh Childs, Matt Childs, Andrew Labbe, Dustin LaPlante, Bobby Scammon and Dana Tibits. The funeral procession included the casket being conveyed to the cemetery in Perley’s new Chevy HD 2500 pickup, along with his antique car and several large rigs. Burial committal prayers followed at Maple Grove Cemetery in Mechanic Falls. A reception followed at his home on Lewiston Street, Mechanic Falls. Arrangements by the Pinette & Lynch Funeral Home.
