Singer, guitarist and songwriter James Hunter, who has toured with Van Morrison, will bring his pop/soul music to Discovery Park in Freeport Saturday, July 14, as part of the L.L. Bean Summer Concert Series. Born in Colchester, England, Hunter teamed up with Morrison in the early ’90s after Morrison heard him perform in Wales. While on tour with Morrison, Hunter sang with such greats as John Lee Hooker, Junior Wells and Jimmy Witherspoon. He is featured on Morrison’s live album, “A Night in San Francisco.” The outdoor concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. Admission is free. Bring a lawn chair.
