Criminal Mischief

The Park Street side door of the LA Public Theatre at 23 Maple St. was tagged with graffiti overnight July 9-10.

Thefts

Two plates – ME REG 9484NH – were stolen from a 2002 Chevy van which was parked at 100 Pine St. overnight July 9-10.

One plate – ME REG CRSNVKI – was stolen from a 1999 Chevy Cavalier that was parked in front of 110 Pierce St. overnight July 9-10.

Two plates – ME REG 6977IW – were stolen from a Jeep Grand Cherokee overnight which was parked at 91 Bartlett St. July 9-10.

A set of cymbals was stolen from the back of a vehicle which was parked at 8 Howe St.

A purse was stolen from a locker in the employee lounge at the Dollar Tree at 1035 Lisbon St. on July 9.

A 20-inch, Next BMX style bicycle was stolen from the bike rack of Lewiston Middle School during the daytime on July 10.

Robbery

At 12:13 a.m. on July 11 officers responded to the area of the railroad tracks in the area of the fairgrounds for a reported robbery. The train conductor reported that while he was checking the train, he was attacked by two people, who took a small amount of cash from him. The only description the conductor was able to provide was that they were young males, and a partial clothing description. Officers checked the area on foot, car, dog, and bike but were unable to locate any matching suspects.

Scrap Theft Arrest

Nathaniel Bagley, 29, was charged with theft, criminal mischief, violation of conditions of release, and a probation hold on July 10 at 3:04 a.m. Cpl. Ullrich witnessed Bagley squatted down in front of a phone pole. A pat-down revealed wire cutters, a box cutter, and pockets full of copper grounding wire which had been stripped from phone poles. He admitted to having taken wire from 15 poles in the vicinity which he could sell for $2 a pound as scrap.

Motor Vehicle Burglary Arrest

Daniel Bourgoin, 23, was arrested for attempted motor vehicle burglary, violation of conditions of release, and unlawful possession of scheduled drugs on July 10 at 11:18 a.m. at 320 Bates St. Officers responded to the area for a report of a male subject trying car door handles. Officers arrived to find Bourgoin attempting to gain entry to a parked car. A search of his person revealed numerous Alprazolan pills which he was not prescribed.
