PARIS – Community Concepts has announce the opening of a new child care facility in Paris. The latest in an array of children’s Head Start and child care programs will be located at the Gail Riley Children’s Center, 338 High St. An open house will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 25.

The new Early Head Start child care program will be year-round, full-day care. The program will open Monday, July 30, serving families with children ages 6 weeks to 3 years and parents who are working or attending school. Income guidelines apply and fees are on a sliding scale. Verification of income is required.

“We’re excited,” said Kathie Thompson, site manager for the new center. “There’s always a need for quality child care and we know we can really make a difference.”

Community Concepts operates Head Start, Early Head Start and child care sites throughout Oxford and Franklin counties. Head Start is a preschool program for children ages 3 to 5, focusing on each child’s educational, social, medical and nutritional needs. Early Head Start offers the same components for pregnant women and families with children from birth to 3 years.
