AUBURN – Court Street Baptist Church will host a summer concert at 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 5. Featured musicians will be organist Mark Thallander and pianist Jeremy McElroy.

Thallander, who lives in Palm Springs, Calif., was organist for 18 years at the Crystal Cathedral in Garden Grove, Calif. He is a renowned performer, composer, arranger and teacher. An automobile accident in 2003 necessitated the amputation of his left arm, yet he continues to perform throughout the world.

McElroy, who lives in Atlanta, is a concert pianist/organist who formerly was a minister of music in a southern California church. He is employed as a pilot for AirTran Airways, yet finds time to collaborate musically with Thallander several times a year.

The concert will feature duets as well as solos performances. The Court Street Baptist Church Choir will also participate.

The church is located at 129 Court St. All are invited and admission is free. A freewill offering will be received. For more information, call 784-6661.
