ORIENT (AP) – A Massachusetts woman died Tuesday after falling into a propeller while her husband was docking the boat, officials said.

Jeanie Glover, 65, of Beverly, Mass., was killed when she fell off a 17-foot powerboat, which was being docked at a friend’s house on East Grand Lake, said Mark Latti, spokesman for the Department of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife.

The woman was attempting to tie the boat to the dock at about 5:35 p.m. when she fell into the inboard-outboard engine’s propeller, Latti said. She was pronounced dead at the scene when emergency personnel arrived a short time later.
