Hope Haven Gospel Mission of Lewiston held a July 4 barbecue. There were 130 meals served; 55 delivered to shut-ins; and 75 served on the premises in the back yard. Lewiston Mayor Laurent Gilbert and Auburn Mayor John Jenkins took on the grilling duties. Also present were Karen Staples from Sen. Olympia Snowe’s office and Hope Haven Pastor Paul McLaughlin.
