St. JOHNSBURY, Vt. (AP) – Four suspects were arrested Tuesday, charged with placing two homemade bombs in mailboxes in the Northeast Kingdom.
Corey R. Gadapee, 20 and Justin T. Mashell, 19, of Lyndonville and Michael Alger, 22, and Marissa J. Norrie, 22, of St. Johnsbury have been cited to appear in court on Sept. 10.
The four were arrested four days after a homeowner found an improvised explosive device made of cleaning chemicals in a mailbox and brought it to the West Burke post office. A bomb squad dismantled it while a second bomb exploded in St. Johnsbury.
No one was hurt in either incident.
The four suspects face felony charges of possessing and attempting to explode destructive devices.
