SACO – Elliot Avenue Little League remained unbeaten in the 11-year-old Maine Little League Tournament with an 8-3 victory over Hampden.
Tom Hird, who pitched the first four innings and Coleman Morency, who threw the final two, combined on a six-hitter with 11 strikeouts. Leading the offense was Jeremy Kearns, Peter Tirabassi, Ethan Melvin, Brady Whetzel and Evan Gosselin. Alex Small played well behind the plate.
Elliot faces Ellsworth today at noon.
