AUGUSTA – Arthur Lee Carmichael, 46, of Lewiston, died Monday, July 30, shortly upon arrival at MaineGeneral Hospital after suffering a massive coronary at work.

He was born in Presque Isle, on Aug. 24, 1960, the son of Marvin Sr. and Carolyn (Clark) Carmichael.

He was educated in Presque Isle. He then served the with U.S. Navy for five years.

He was currently employed for T. Buck Construction of Auburn. He was a member of the Pastime Club, Le National Club. He enjoyed boating and four-wheeling.

He is survived by his parents of Presque Isle; his wife of Lewiston, the former Carla Howlett, whom he married on May 3, 1980; one son, Arthur “AJ” Carmichael, and his companion, Lynn Bilier, of Lewiston; two daughters, Dawn Hopkins, and her fiancé, Keith West and Melissa, and her husband, Ed Warren and a special family member, Melissa Rivard, and her fiancé, Jeff Taylor, all of Lewiston; three brothers, Barry, and his wife, Nan Carmichael, of Easton, Mark, and his wife, Sherry Carmichael, of Presque Isle and Marvin Carmichael Jr., and his companion, Lisa Shanchez, of Presque Isle; one sister, Carolyn Crande of Houlton; and two grandchildren, Jakob Warren and Emma Carmichael.

He was predeceased by a brother, Dennis Carmichael in 1996.
