ROXBURY – John Clark Morse, 82, of Roxbury, died at his residence in Roxbury on July 31.
He was born in Hanover on Nov. 4, 1924, the son of the late Cyrus Clark Morse and the late Edna Jordan Morse Moxey. He attended Hanover schools and Gould Academy and had lived on the Morse Farm in Hanover for more than 50 years.
For the last 32 years, he lived with his cousin, Kathleen Knapp, and her husband, Leslie, in Roxbury. He was always very polite, pleasant and helpful to those around him, and he loved working on the farms.
He is survived by four sisters, Ella “Flip” Morse of Scarborough, Lilla “Tura” Martin, and her husband, Leroy, of South Paris, Thelma Gaudet, and her husband, Edward, of Yarmouth and Loretta Bryant of Rochester, N.H.; one brother, Charles Morse of South Paris; one aunt, Bertha Flanders of South Paris; and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by one sister, Patricia Moxey.
